Our History
Kunkel & Associates was founded in July of 2003 in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Our former president and CEO, Tim Kunkel, took the company from its infancy into profitability within the first twelve months of incorporation. In 2007, Kunkel & Associates expanded operations and built a state of the art facility in Dubuque, Iowa; the corporate headquarters. Our operation has seen significant growth year after year and currently consists of over sixty employees and an additional office located in Madison, Wisconsin.

Our Values
Former president and CEO, Tim Kunkel, sponsored a culture of pride in working hard, setting and achieving goals, and building relationships within the frames of honesty and respect. Throughout the years, the company has made every effort to develop solid relationships with both clients and insurance companies, vital in achieving the best results for our clients. Tim's vision incorporated helping business owners reduce their level of risk in the property & casualty, transportation, and employee-benefits fields. As the company continues to expand and in an effort to satisfy the needs of our clients, Kunkel & Associates offers additional services including comprehensive onsite nurse advocacy, human resource consulting, and safety & loss control services. Currently, through exclusive programs with national insurance companies, we have been identified as a preferred organization based on our experience, expertise, and devotion to clients and business partners.

Looking Forward
Kunkel & Associates has appointed Jason Knockel as CEO after the passing of Tim Kunkel. Jason has worked for Kunkel & Associates since 2006 and contributes extensive experience in marketing and sales within the property & casualty and employee benefits areas. Jason looks forward to leading the company and is enthusiastic about "continuing to focus on the areas that we excel at through unmatched service while providing great attention to clients, business partners, and integrating innovation along the way."
